A-Z Guide: Website Slang

Website Terminology 101

Starting in 2024, all our websites will be required to be enrolled in a Website Hosting, Security, and Care Plan. To help navigate our partnership and your website, we have compiled a term guide specific to our care plans:

  • Domain Management: One complimentary domain purchase. We manage the renewals for you, but you still own your domain.
  • Monthly or Quarterly Reporting: Understand your site users & trends with Google Analytics. Get detailed reports on all website maintenance activity UpFrame Creative is doing for you and overall site performance.
  • Premium Forms: Covers maintenance and renewals for custom forms like job application forms, payment forms, listings, etc.
  • Premium Website Hosting: We store your website files on our premium, super secure, hosting platform, specifically built for WordPress websites.
  • Site & Uptime Monitoring: In the event that your website has technical troubles, we are alerted right away. We then kick off our troubleshooting process and work to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.  We use the latest technologies and industry best practices to keep your site fast and performant.
  • SSL Certificate: Your site is verified and encrypted through this ‘secure sockets layer’, which means it unreadable to hackers. This also helps with your SEO ranking. This is required by Google to list your site as secure.
  • Update WordPress Themes, Plugins, & Testing: We keep plugins, themes, and WordPress software up-to-date. This is critical to your websites overall performance.
  • Website Backups: A backup is the main guarantee that your site can be completely restored after any unexpected problems or crashes. We run daily backups, saving your site files if we ever need them.
  • Website Security: We actively monitor your website and implement important security measures like an SSL certificate, ReCaptcha, and more preventative measures to keep your site secure.
  • Website Support (Basic, Standard, or Priority): Hours / year of basic changes like updated text, changing out imagery, adding documents, posting jobs, and more. Short turnaround times.
