A Note To UpFrame Clients

Dear UpFrame Clients,

As a business owner for nearly 10 years, I’ve learned many lessons along the way. In fact, I’m still learning a great deal, but one of the most important is to take great care of my customers and I take that seriously. Throughout the years I have been honored to serve many loyal customers. Thanks to your support and trust, my business has grown more rapidly than I could have imagined. With this growth comes exciting new challenges and a need for additional talent, teamwork and efficiencies that will allow UpFrame Creative to better serve you.

As I look ahead to 2022, I see a lot of opportunity to not only grow but to partner with and take care of our current clients. It’s because of this that I am excited to announce we will be partnering with MAS Media Design of Marshall, MN effective January 1, 2022 as a larger, stronger UpFrame Creative team.

What does this mean for you?

The decision to enter into this partnership was made to keep YOU, our customer, our priority. This partnership will allow us access to not only new talent but also the ability to offer more services. On a day-to-day basis, it will feel like business as usual for you. The UpFrame Creative team, with our new members Shay and Hannah, will be working closely together to offer the same great services of website design, branding, logo design, and graphic design. One of the things I’m most excited about is to offer our clients a bigger focus on strategic marketing, planning and management.

What does this mean for the current team?

For Carrie:
I’m beyond excited to take on the role of CEO for UpFrame Creative. My experience in leadership, business ownership and teaching for the School of Design at SDSU have prepared me well for this position. I recently realized what I was missing is the strength of a larger team behind me, driving me forward and giving me even more purpose. Like all our favorite small businesses, my day-to-day will mean wearing many hats. I will still be building websites, designing logos, mentoring employees, and solving problems as usual. However, thanks to our evolving team I can now dedicate more time to thinking bigger and ensuring our client process is smooth and efficient.

For Taylor:
Taylor will be joining us full-time as our senior designer and project manager, her official title will be Creative Fulfillment Director. Taylor has been with me since 2017 and she is truly irreplaceable. She has the heart for helping small businesses and the talents to lead. Taylor will continue working with clients on a variety of projects such as graphic design, branding, and she will also be taking on a larger role with our website design and maintenance services.

Meet the new additions to the UpFrame Creative Team

We are adding two motivated and talented ladies to our team!

Meet Shay Vandendriessche, the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at UpFrame Creative. Shay was born and raised in Marshall, MN and is a proud SDSU Alumni & Jackrabbit. She brings a huge passion for small businesses, entrepreneurs and the agriculture industry. Meeting new people and helping make their dreams a reality fuels her creative spirit. Shay will specialize in client experience, idea generation, sales, market research, creative thinking, branding, graphic design, and photography. When she isn’t working, you can find her enjoying time on the family farm with her husband, two toddler girls, and their black Angus cattle. Any day that starts with coffee and donuts is a great day in her book.

Meet Hannah Merritt, the Vice President of Accounts and Marketing. She is the queen of accountability and has a type-A personality who makes sure all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. She has project management and communication talents which are key to strengthening and growing our partnerships with customers. Hannah graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a degree in business management and an emphasis in marketing. She will specialize in all things marketing, communications and organization. She’s a self-proclaimed small town, South Dakota girl, and is fortunate to call Lake Cochrane home. In her free time, Hannah enjoys playing league volleyball, running, and being outdoors and at the farm with her husband and 4 kiddos.

We are excited to have these two join us at UpFrame Creative to round out the team that is ready to serve you. Our mission is the same; to help every small business in rural communities succeed through excellent web design, branding, graphic design, and now marketing. We believe there is value in staying small, efficient and accessible. When you call, we will be here.
